Here I am Sunday Night @ 9:20 Pm…Thinking back over this day, I am blessed. Church was a blessing today. My heart is saddened, my beloved Pastor Jowers is having health issues again …It is a continuation of the same problems Bro. Jeff Lee did an amazing job filling in, but our Pastor and Sis. Lisa are always missed.

I am reminded how very fragile our lives are. So many of our church family have sickness and different needs at this time. The financial  burdens seem heavy and I also have this issue. Once again, I am glad we have a God who can.

Thinking of this old Hymn: Are we weak and heavy laden, burdened with a load of care, Precious Savior still our refuge, Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our troubles share? Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer.

I love my Lord. He is so precious to me. I pray he is precious to you also. If not, why not? He is waiting for you …When he speaks, answer his call. Say” yes Lord, I need you. I know there is nothing I can do to help myself, or save my soul. Lord save me and let me find this joy of yours in my life…let me find you precious.” I must head to bed. My body is weary and I am anxious for the sweet rest I have in Jesus I will await his awakening in the morning to another day to be blessed. Love to you all who read this page,  Margaret I Sam. 12:24

bless the Lord, O my soul

Psalm 103:1,2,3Bless the Lord, O my soul my soul: and all that is within me, bless his Holy name.  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.   Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.

Many times in my walk with the Lord, have these verses helped me in some tough places. Usually sickness, and there has been a lot of those times.

There is no antidote like the Word of God. In it you can read for every thing you encounter in this life. It can speak and comfort when no one is there to hug you, hold your hand, or pray for you. He whispers sweet peace to me.

Lord Jesus, I love you this morning. You know what is ahead of me today. Please help me, give me strength for the journey, and your grace and mercy in my life.              Love, your child, Margaret

Pain

I sit here at the computer, and listen to a train whistle blowing. I am on the way to bed. Joyce has had pain all day, and cries and moans. My heart breaks for there is nothing I can do medically to help.

I do the best thing…I lift her up in prayer to our Lord and Saviour. He alone knows the exact place the pain is arising from, and he has the power to touch and relieve the pain.. I trust him

The old hymn No One Ever
Cared For Me like Jesus, comes playing thru my mind, and settles in my heart. God is so good..

Pain can be a stabbing knife into a muscle, it can be a cramp like a vice grip, squeezing tighter and tighter. It can start at one point in your body and travel swiftly to many places. It can wake you suddenly from a deep sleep,it will also come softly and pulse intermittingly and with the swiftness of bolt of lightning.

Pain can ebb and flow, like the breakers and tides of the oceans. You try and be resilient, but you are no match for the pain. the battle is on for the rest of the night. O pain, you are not my friend, but you are a constant companion.

Foolish or Wise?

Matt. 6:24-27

The wise man built his house upon the rock, The wise man built his house upon the rock, The wise man built his house upon the rock and the rains came tumbling down

Chorus:

The rain came down, and the flood came up, the rain came down and the flood came up. The rain came down and the flood came up, and the house on the rock stood firm.

The foolish man built his house upon the sand, the foolish man built his house upon the sand, and the rains came tumbling down.

return to chorus

Build your house upon the Lord Jesus Christ, build your house upon the Lord Jesus Christ, build your house on the Lord Jesus Christ , and the blessings will come down.

The prayers will go up, and the blessings will come down, the prayers will go up, and the blessings will come down, the prayers will go up and the blessings will come down, So build your house on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many times have I sung this with children. What aa wonderful testimony to the protection of Jesus our Lord. We are his, and he loves to help us.

Matthew 6:24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man , which built his house upon a rock:

25.and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew upon the house and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine ,and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

And the rain descend3d, and the floods came, and the wind blew, and beat upon the house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

This is a reminder for us to build on a firm foundation, and that foundation is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
